What Can Ya Do With this Stuff? ...Part 1

I got this kit from an artist friend of mine not long ago. First time getting’ something like it. She puts various items together in a baggie (all the kits have the same stuff in them) and gives them to us to see what the contents will spark in our creativity. You can use one adhesive, one pigment, and one piece from nature. And everyone came up with something different!

This is what was in the baggie.

This is how my creativity was sparked (made this in January).

“In the Garden”

So, recently I got this idea in my head, do a variation on that theme. Close to it? Well, more than that? No where near a variation? Oh hell, forget about it!...

...using a bit of recycled materials, my new Tim Holtz die, and some other “stuff”... recycled materials, vintage text, rubber stamps, Distress and Alcohol inks, wire, beads, acetate, dried flowers, a real piece of branch with moss on it (awesome!), a tiny bit of pixie dust, embossing folder and dies. Some of this stuff was just hangin’ around in the studio.

The results of the so called ‘variation on a theme” (yeah, right).
This piece was made yesterday for a way over due personal trade.
She’s very pleased with it too.

"Uncaged"

It feels sooooooo good to be creating again!
