A Learn-A-Thon that started at 12 noon. We were free to work on or practice on anything of our choosing. Some were trying out new things for the first time. And you could drop in at any time.
We worked on perfecting our mad skills, encouraged each other, had fun, and showed off what we did. Everyone worked on something different.
Here’s some of what we worked on and shared
Drawing techniques
Pergamano
Peeled paint backgrounds
Color wash on vintage papers
Friendly Plastic
CitraSolv and magazine backgrounds
Shaving cream/ food coloring backgrounds
Modeling paste on corrugated cardboard backgrounds
Brush strokes with Chinese water colors
Image transfers
Rubber stamping
Fabric cards
Collage
I worked with Friendly Plastic pellets and image transfers using Omni-Gel. First time working with these products. Had tons of fun discovering new things and chattin’ it up in the Learn-A-Thon. Will definitely do this again.

Hey Deb,
Great tutorials, love the pictures...I have never tried omni gel for transfers...I have used water and acrylic medium but I like the transparency result and seems easier than the packing tape method.
Thanks for the great comments on my blog!! I really appreciate it.
Oh Deb, you make me laugh! I love your writings on the pictures letting us know what was going on and what was in your head. ha ha
Thank you for sharing these wonderful images of your work. I have not used either of these items and now would like to give it a try. Especially that transfer gel. That is cool stuff!
(p.s. the flowers on my painting are the paper kind - I bought them at Art n Soul and had no idea why. They are white and beige so I added my own color)
How much fun is all that? Jealous over here!
