It's the little things that make the BIG things happen

Today is my birthday! I am full, and blessed with a beautiful song at the moment. I just got a call from a very special little guy just now. His name is Alex, he's five years old and has a most incredible spirit. I pick up the phone and the first thing I hear, in this tiny little voice "haaappy birrrthday toooo youuuu, haaaapy biiiirthday to you, haaaappy biiiirthdaaay Miss, Miss Debra, haaaaappy birthday to you."

My word, tears filled my eyes as my heart overflowed with gratitude. Gratitude in knowing that this small gesture, coming from a place where you least expect it, deserves to be noticed. There is greatness in small things. I have special people in my life right now. My daughter, my son, and my friends.
